SiN Reloaded What's New in Reloaded
Weapon reworks, map overhauls, restored VO, and the Gold toggle — versus SiN Gold.
SiN Gold was Nightdive’s 2020 PC packaging of Ritual’s 1998 shooter. SiN Reloaded is a different product: the same campaign and Wages of SiN, running on KEX, with guns that no longer stall, maps that no longer send you in circles, and a visual toggle if you want Gold’s face back. This page is the change list Nightdive has actually described. Store SKUs sit on platforms. Slider names sit on settings. Per-gun ammo sits on the weapons guide.
Nothing here claims the full campaign is on store shelves today. The Steam demo is the playable slice. The complete Reloaded package launches 24 September 2026.
Weapon reworks
Dual Magnums can be fired and loaded independently. In Gold, emptying one pistol felt like parking the pair. In Reloaded you dump the left cylinder into a doorway and keep the right in the fight. That single change is why the tier list puts Magnums in S for the whole campaign, not just the bank.
Spider mines can be steered remotely. The old throw-and-hope bug is now a room-clearer if you spend the second to drive it under a nest. The crossbow gained a detonator switch: plant a bolt, wait for the stack, pop. Pulse-gun lightning chains between enemies, so the rifle you assemble from parts finally behaves like an area tool instead of a dull beam. The speargun is more effective underwater, which is the first time that sentence has been worth writing. The flamethrower deals much more damage, which moves it from novelty to mutant kit. Nightdive also listed miscellaneous weapon polish across the rest of the roster — tracking, feedback, the feel pass Xaser talked about in the studio deep dive.
The Quantum Destabilizer still kills you on overcharge. That is not a Reloaded nerf. That is the original joke, kept.
Maps, markers, and Episode 5
Every level got touch-ups: extra textures, extra decoration, less of what the team called 1990s jank. Silo and Chem are the named gameplay overhauls — less punishing, more readable, still the same objectives. Point-of-interest markers cut the “where do I go” tax without turning Freeport into a GPS ghost. Episode 5 backtracking is reduced, which is the quality-of-life change veterans will feel in their feet before they notice a texture.
Higher tick rate and an improved music system sit under the hood. Zak Belika’s score has a higher-resolution mix by Chris Mock. You will hear it; you do not configure it like AA.
Voice, vault, and Gold toggle
Nightdive found unused dialogue and voice samples and put them back. Side-by-side with Gold, characters have extra interactions that never played in the original release. That is a characters problem as much as an updates problem: JC and Blade talk more, labs have more asides, and a quiet hallway may not be quiet anymore.
The Gold visual toggle swaps remastered textures, portraits, and 2D screens for the SiN Gold look without uninstalling the map-flow work. It is a look, not a time machine. A vault of behind-the-scenes material ships for people who want the archival layer. Brand-new achievements exist because KEX platforms expect them.
Tech targets
PC Reloaded advertises up to 4K at 144 FPS with anti-aliasing and rebuilt menus. That is a ceiling you cap on settings, not a requirement on the Steam minimum dual-core. Controls and UI are modernized: gamepad prompts, mouse feel, Steam Input. Switch 2 is quoted at 4K / 120 docked and 1080p handheld, with mouse support. Those numbers live next to store links on platforms.
KEX is the reason Gold and remaster can coexist in one executable. It is also the reason the same campaign can ship on last-gen consoles without a second studio rebuild.
What Reloaded is not
It is not SiN Episodes: Emergence. It is not a new plot. It is not a second campaign instead of Wages of SiN — Wages is in the box. The story is still Blade versus Elexis, U4, Mancini, Thrall, then Manero if you play the pack. If a trailer shows a Magnum trick you do not remember, it is this list, not a different Freeport.
Use the getting started guide to set binds after you read this page, not before. The change list is only useful if you let it change a habit: stop waiting for both Magnums to reload, start steering mines, stop treating flame as a toy, and stop farming Episode 5 hallways that Reloaded already shortened.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
What is the biggest gun change in Reloaded?
Dual Magnums firing and reloading independently. Remote spider mines, the crossbow detonator, chaining pulse, hotter flame, and a real underwater speargun are the rest of the headline list. See weapons.
Did the maps change or just the textures?
Both. Every level got art touch-ups. Silo and Chem had gameplay overhauls. Episode 5 backtracking is reduced, and point-of-interest markers help navigation.
Can I play with the old look?
Yes. The Gold visual toggle is built in. Map-flow and weapon changes stay. How to set it is on settings.
Is unused voice acting really back?
Nightdive said they found extra dialogue and samples and implemented them in more places. Expect more JC/Blade chatter and lab asides than Gold played.
Does this include Wages of SiN?
Yes. Reloaded packages the original campaign and the Wages mission pack together for the 24 September 2026 launch. The demo is not the full pack.
Where do platform frame-rate numbers live?
PC 4K / 144 and Switch 2 4K / 120 docked are on this list and on platforms. Last-gen consoles run the campaign without that PC ceiling.
