SiN Reloaded System Requirements

Steam's PC table, 4 GB install, console targets, and a Proton note for Linux.

System Requirements

SiN Reloaded is a KEX remaster of a Quake II-era campaign, not a new open-world client. Steam’s published PC numbers look modest because they are. The expensive part is the display you aim at — 4K at 144 FPS — not whether a dual-core from the 2010s can boot Freeport City Bank. This page copies the Steam table, then adds consoles, storage, and a Linux note. Graphics sliders that actually change the bill sit on settings. Store-by-store listings sit on platforms.

The full game launches 24 September 2026. Use the Steam demo as a live spec check until then. A machine that plays the demo at your chosen cap will play the campaign; Reloaded is not hiding a second engine behind the buy button.

PC minimum (Steam)

Steam lists a 64-bit Windows 10 install as the floor. Processor: Intel or AMD dual-core at 2.0 GHz. Memory: 1 GB RAM. Graphics: any GPU with DirectX 11 or Vulkan 1.1. Storage: 4 GB. Sound: a DirectX-compatible device, which in practice is every onboard chipset still running.

That 1 GB RAM figure is real, not a missing zero. KEX is hosting 1998 maps with new textures, not a streaming city. You can still make the machine unhappy by unlocking 144 FPS on a 4K panel with every AA option lit. If you are on minimum hardware, cap the frame rate, drop AA, and pick a resolution your GPU already likes. Gold versus remaster is a look, not a spec card; see settings before you treat Gold as a performance mode.

Recommended CPU is an Intel Core i5-2300 at 2.8 GHz or an AMD Phenom II X4 945 at 3.0 GHz, or equivalent. Memory: 2 GB RAM. Graphics: still DX11 or Vulkan 1.1 — Steam does not name a GeForce or Radeon SKU. Storage stays 4 GB.

An i5-2300 is a 2011 chip. If you own anything sold as a gaming PC after that, CPU is not your question. GPU and monitor are. Reloaded’s pitch is up to 4K / 144 FPS on PC. That is the recommended machine’s ceiling when the GPU and display agree, not a promise that a Phenom II drives a 4K television.

Vulkan 1.1 is the path Proton and many modern drivers prefer. DX11 is the older Windows path. If a launch-week issue appears on one, try the other before you file a missing-texture report.

Storage and install size

Plan on 4 GB free. That covers the campaign, Wages of SiN, remastered textures, and the Gold swap. It is small enough that an SSD is a preference, not a requirement, but KEX streaming still feels better on solid state when a Chem hall loads a new set of labs. The demo is smaller; do not use demo size as the full-install budget.

Cloud saves and extra shader caches can sit outside that 4 GB. Leave a little headroom on Deck SD cards and on last-gen consoles that already share the drive with three other 100 GB games.

Consoles

Reloaded ships on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2 on the same 24 September 2026 date as PC. Last-gen boxes run the campaign; they do not owe you the PC frame-rate ceiling.

Switch 2 is the console Nightdive has specified in public: 4K resolution at 120 FPS docked, 1080p handheld because that is the screen. Mouse support is confirmed on Switch 2. Switch (the original) is a separate SKU with a free digital upgrade path to the Switch 2 Edition. For store links and wishlist buttons, use platforms.

PlayStation and Xbox have not published a matching 4K / 120 guarantee in the same breath. Expect a stable campaign with modernized controls, not a spec-sheet war with the PC build.

Proton, Linux, and Steam Deck

Steam’s table is Windows. Linux players run the Windows build through Proton. KEX titles generally behave, but that is a community observation, not a SteamOS badge. Check ProtonDB and Steam’s Deck rating on app 632950 the week you install. Force Vulkan if DX11 misbehaves in the prefix.

Deck advice is the same as low-spec PC advice: cap FPS, cut AA, keep entity contrast readable, test the demo. Gyro fixes already landed in a demo patch; look-feel issues are controls before they are GPU issues.

If your question is “will this laptop boot the bank,” the answer is almost certainly yes. If your question is “will this television show 144 FPS,” the answer is on the television, not in the CPU column. Once the machine runs, pick a loadout instead of spending the extra frames on a chaingun you cannot feed.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What are the Steam minimum specs?

Windows 10 64-bit, dual-core 2.0 GHz, 1 GB RAM, a GPU with DirectX 11 or Vulkan 1.1, and 4 GB storage. Recommended is an i5-2300 or Phenom II X4 945 with 2 GB RAM.

How big is the install?

Steam lists 4 GB. That is the campaign plus Wages of SiN and both visual modes. Leave extra room for shaders and cloud data on handhelds.

Does it run on Linux?

There is no native Linux client on the Steam card. Use Proton on the Windows build and prefer Vulkan. Verify with the demo rather than a screenshot.

What does Switch 2 actually run?

Nightdive has said 4K / 120 docked and 1080p handheld, with mouse support. Original Switch has a free upgrade path to that edition. See platforms.

Will Gold mode make a weak PC faster?

Treat it as a look, not a performance preset. Cap FPS and drop AA on settings if you need frames. Gold does not uninstall the remastered maps.
